“I first found my passion for working with natural stone when I left school and attended an open day at Edinburgh collage where stonemasons were demonstrating their skills.

Since then, I have been hooked. Shortly after, i attended a 6-month introductory Course and then went on to find work with a local stonemason where I worked for around 2.5 years. I then managed to secure an Apprenticeship with another company where I served out the rest of my time as an apprentice while getting to work alongside some fantastic Stonemasons. After serving my time as an apprentice I continued to work for the same company for around 1.5 years as a time served Mason.

After that I decided it was time to start up my own company. Since doing so the company has grown nicely and now have a small team of stonemasons as well as an Apprentice of our own. We have had the chance to work on some amazing projects since we started and had some fantastic clients. Some of which have become regular repeat clients. As well as having love for what I do as a job and creating new built structures or hand carved pieces of art for our clients.

I also feel we as a traditional trade, have a duty to look after/maintain our build heritage and pass on our knowledge/train the next generation of stonemasons.”
